Creative arts

Creative arts is mandatory for students from Kindergarten to Year 6.

In creative arts, students discover a variety of art forms through a study of dance, drama, music and visual arts where they learn to appreciate, compose, listen, make and perform.

Each art form has its own unique knowledge and skills, elements or concepts as well as a capacity to inspire and enrich lives.

Claymore Public School is committed to ensuring all children have the opportunity to experience and perform in Dance, Music, Drama and the Visual Arts.

Our school offers performing arts groups such as Choir, Dance Group, Haka, CPS Singers, Samoan Dance Group, Cook Island Dance Group and Koori Dance Group.

The Claymore Public School Artist of the Term award is presented to a student from each class at our End of Term assemblies in recognition of their oustanding application in Visual Arts. Each artwork is displayed in a number of locations around our school.
