Our school facilities

Resources and technology

Our school uses modern technology and digital learning tools. Our resources help students learn, create and stay connected. As a NSW public school, we have access to shared programs and tools available to all schools in the state.

Our classrooms are bright, modern, and well-resourced, providing an engaging environment for learning. Each room is carefully organised to support collaborative learning, independent study, and hands-on activities. Teachers use a combination of traditional resources, interactive technology and flexible seating arrangements to cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.

The library is the heart of our school, offering an extensive collection of fiction, non-fiction, and digital resources. It provides a quiet space for reading, research and independent learning while also hosting literacy programs, storytelling sessions and book clubs. Students are encouraged to explore new ideas, develop research skills, and cultivate a love of literature from an early age.

Our modern computer lab is equipped with up-to-date technology to support digital literacy and creative projects. In addition, each class has access to iPads, enabling interactive learning across all subjects. These devices allow students to practise numeracy and literacy skills, complete multimedia projects, and collaborate on digital tasks, helping them develop 21st-century skills in a safe and structured environment.

The infants’ playground is a safe, shaded, and stimulating area for younger students. It provides opportunities for imaginative play, physical development and social interaction. The equipment is designed to enhance coordination, balance and confidence, while also encouraging teamwork and problem-solving through play.

Our outdoor sports facilities, including a basketball court and spacious fields, promote physical activity, teamwork, and healthy lifestyles. Students participate in structured physical education lessons, interschool competitions and recreational play. Sports at Claymore Public School also teach leadership, cooperation, resilience and fair play.

Creativity is a cornerstone of student development at our school. Dedicated art and music spaces allow students to explore visual arts, music, drama and performance. Through these activities, students build self-expression, confidence and collaboration skills. School concerts, art exhibitions and performances provide opportunities for students to showcase their talents to the wider community.

The Nanga Mai Room is a unique space dedicated to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture and learning. Students explore Aboriginal history, traditions and contemporary perspectives through storytelling, art and cultural activities. This space fosters respect, understanding and pride in cultural heritage and provides all students with opportunities to learn about and celebrate Aboriginal culture.

The Koori Club provides a supportive environment for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students to connect with peers, share stories, and engage in cultural activities. The club strengthens cultural identity, encourages leadership, and builds a sense of community and belonging within the school.
